When María of Spanien Spain House of Habsburg was born on 21 June 1528, in Madrid, Madrid, Spain, her father, Rey Carlos I de España, was 28 and her mother, Isabel de Portugal, was 24. She married Erzherzog Maximilian II von Österreich House of Habsburg in 1548. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 6 daughters. She died on 26 February 1603, in her hometown, at the age of 74, and was buried in El Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
