Dasom Parts Ways With Starship Entertainment After 11 Years

Dasom has left Starship Entertainment.

On June 29, the agency announced, “After sufficient discussion with Kim Dasom, who has been with us for 11 years, we have decided not to renew her contract.”

They continued, “We were happy to be with SISTAR member and actress Kim Dasom and her versatile charms for 11 years. Although her official contract is over, we sincerely support her future activities. Please give a lot of warm attention and encouragement to Kim Dasom who is making a new start.”

Starship Entertainment also bid a sweet good-bye to Dasom on Twitter with a post that reads, “Starship’s multi-talented artist Kim Dasom, we were happy to be with you for a long time. We wish you all the best in your new beginning. Thank you.”

Dasom debuted in 2010 as a member of SISTAR. The group quickly rose to popularity with hit songs like “Push Push,” “So Cool,” and “Loving U.” The group disbanded in May 2017, and Dasom continued to pursue her acting career. She appeared in various dramas such as “The Virtual Bride,” “Band of Sisters,” and “He Is Psychometric.”
