When third-seeded Immaculate Heart Academy took the field against top-seeded Ridgewood, ranked No. 12 in the NJ.com Top 20, the only thing players on either side had experienced in their lives was Ridgewood’s dominance on the lacrosse field. IHA stood across the field from the Bergen County champions 18 years running, and the Maroons had eyes on their 19th consecutive title.
