Songfacts®:

  • Here, Motionless In White take on repressive leaders who exploit the poor. It's likely the Scranton metallers had former POTUS Donald Trump in mind as there are references to:

His proposal of building a wall to block the United States and Mexico border.

    Break down the wall again

    And Trump's wealth.

Nobody's buying but you sell, sell, sell
In the land of the free you're a slave to your wealth

In 2021, Forbes estimated Trump's net worth at $2.4 billion.
  • Cut you up, cut you up, rip the teeth from your mouth
You won't survive in your slaughterhouse

The titular slaughterhouse stands for capitalism and how that affects everybody in such a negative way. "We live a life where a system is in place to make the rich richer," explained Chris Motionless to Apple Music. "We're essentially the products in a slaughterhouse. They're selling our lives and our essence to make money off it. I'm f---ing sick of it, and a lot of people are sick of it."
  • Knocked Loose vocalist Bryan Garris joins Chris Motionless on "Slaughterhouse." The two also co-wrote the crushing track.
  • According to Chris Motionless, "Slaughterhouse" contains one of the top three favorite screams of his career, especially the last 25 seconds. "Loved getting to scream alongside the icon, Bryan Garris," he said.
  • Motionless In White ominously released "Slaughterhouse" as the third single from Scoring the End of the World on Friday May 13, 2022. They flexed that the "heaviest song of the year just dropped."
  • You may wonder why Motionless In White released "Slaughterhouse" 18 months after the electorate voted Trump out of office. The metalcore band actually started work on Scoring the End of the World in early 2020 when the orange one was still in power. The COVID-19 pandemic kept them from recording the album until Trump had lost the election.

  • AnonymousIdk where you got the idea of trump (not that I’m for either side of the aisle I hate our crooked government ) but it’s just about capitalism and how the government takes advantage of the poor and the hard working people of the nation while the rich benefit off our backs like cattle in a slaughterhouse . It’s not about one person or the damn pandemic. It’s legit as is…don’t add words to things that were never said. Open your mind before your mouth is all I’ll say to this.
  • AnonymousBro bull crap and stop calling trump the “orange one” that’s F’ing demeaning. You want someone to be mad at look at Biden he’s triple the amount of bad stuff than trump.
  • Metal from EverywhereAnd this really went for the previous president ey? Freaking BS. The current one did the most horrific acts one could do as president.
This fits like glove to the current one.

And this comes from an anarchocapitalist in Europe.
The current one’s stink is all over EU. At least the last one shat his own pants.
All of them deserve what people have to give them.
