Banger Films teams with A&E for specials on rock legends

The five specials include spotlights on Bret Michaels, Dee Snider and Alice Cooper.

Toronto-headquartered Banger Films (Hip-Hop EvolutionThis Is Pop), in association with the A+E Factual Studios group, is producing a run of five specials on legends of hard rock for A&E’s long-running ‘Biography’ bio-doc strand.

Set to kick off on A&E on June 16, the specials will feature exclusive interviews with each of the artists as well as their closest friends and colleagues, and will explore the artists’ journeys to fame, legendary careers and iconic music.

Featured in the series will be former Poison frontman Bret Michaels (June 16), Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider (June 23), shock-rock icon Alice Cooper (June 23, pictured), solo star and ex–Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar (June 30) and Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach (June 30).

The specials are produced for A&E by Banger Films in association with A+E Factual Studios group. The co-directors are Sam Dunn and Marc Ricciardelli, with Dunn and Scot McFadyen serving as executive producers for Banger Films. Rick Krim is an executive producer. Stephen Mintz is an executive producer for A+E Factual Studios group, and the executive producers for A&E Network are Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson.
