Just last weekend, I bought this new for $50 CAD from a record store in Kingston, Ontario. No RSD lineups, no flippers involved. It's always worth looking for unsold RSD stock at bricks-and-mortar places.

The album itself is inferior to as-released Ziggy. It's missing some of the best songs on the final album. When I bought David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars in 1992, the booklet came with the tracklist from this early version, of which was it was easy to make a mix tape using the bonus tracks on the first few Rykodisc releases. So while the album wasn't new to me, I was happy to have it on vinyl just for a different take on one of my favourite albums.

Waste of vinyl and cardboard featuring four "rare" tracks any fan has had in their collection for decades, be they on the original 7"s, Lifetimes 80s 7" reissues, the Bowie Rare composition or as bonus racks on the 90s Rykodisc/Sound and
      Vision remasters.

      Save your cash.

Finally got a chance to spin my copy over the weekend. Did anyone else have issues with a large scratch on the end of Side A? Constant ticks with the end of Round and Round & Amsterdam.
Interested to hear if this was a common problem and if anyone reached out to the label.

Wow! It's really hard to believe. They've actually managed to produce a pressing that can't be faulted! That's a rarity these days, because I've been sending back almost every third record for a few years now.
In terms of sound, this record is absolutely top quality. Ziggy Stardust's album has never sounded better than here. Normally RSD passes me by, but this time I had to get it.

Are the songs that we also find on the final version the same or alternative takes?

Really glad Bowie & Co. came back in the studio in '72 and added the three era bangers this is missing. My copy is flat, centered, and very quiet; digitally mastered to vinyl pretty well. It has plenty of detail but like others have stated here it is a bit compressed. I do not have an OG of the completed work, but my 2016 AAA Ziggy, in comparison, is sonically superior.

Nonetheless, it is fun to listen to and hear the beginning of one the masterworks of rock.

Sounds clear but can't compete with my orange labels Us first press which clearly has a higher mix punchy and louder. The meters on my amp doesnt lie. Clearly this new pressing is from digital, it sounds good but the first press has more live and energy and is uncompressed. The vocals on the new press is compressed and lower.

If this had Sweet Head and Young Dudes it would be perfect one-stop shopping for Zig era ephemera.
