Some of the best experiences of being at Glenn is meeting the admin. They are really kind and sweet and actually loved to be involved in students lives. The worst part is teachers who do not listen thoroughly to the students. It makes me feel as though my voice is not heard in the classroom and my feelings are invalid. I would like to see teachers being trained more to actually be at the workplace because they enjoy helping kids not just there for a check.
R.B. Glenn High School may not be a outstanding high school but it does hold memories of the times I spent here. Our football team are not bad and whenever there is a game it's so crowded and loud that you can't hear your own voice. But the theatre students they make the school brighter. As they hold plays for students, parents and for elementary school as well. I have went to these plays and i got to say they were fun to be there.
Arriving at R.B. Glenn my sophomore year of high school which was right after the pandemic restrictions was lifted. Once I got there the faculty and staff were so welcoming. They could easily tell when someone was lost so they never hesitated to reach in and help. Since the first week of high school, its been very exciting at Glenn High. From the Friday Night Lights, volleyball games, and interact clubs. To the hand on learning curriculums and fun engaging teachers inside and outside the classroom setting. The best parts of my experience at Glenn is becoming captain of the cheerleading team, winning senior dean in office, and getting award for having honor roll a whole semester. Though high school is very fun most days it does have its cons. High school is the type of environment where you can gain self confidence but lose friends also. There has been days where I've meet others and they didn't turn out to be the best role models for me. I would like to see more parents involved.
My experience with Glenn has been alright. The best experiences have been my senior experiences so far and my worst would be all the drama. I would like to see a little less drama.
I enjoyed my time as a student here. The teachers I encountered truly helped to mold me and guide me. I also enjoyed the atmosphere in which I had to learn. I personally felt safe most of the time on the campus, but with the changing times creating violence in the schools more is definitely needed. I am optimistic about the new safety procedures that are being put into place in our school system.
What I like about Glenn is that there is people of my ethnicity and that there are also good clubs there. i also like some of the teachers that work there that care about students reaching success. I really like that Glenn is also a average size high school making it more interesting. I also like how Glenn is interested in many sports.
It’s really a good school. I feel very welcome here and everyone is nice. The teachers treat students like their own. The rules need a work though.
My time as a high school student at Glenn was great. I really enjoyed all four years and the opportunities presented to me.
I liked Glenn High school because my teachers were able to support through difficult times like the covid-19 pandemic. I also maintained amazing grades and a high gpa and I thank my friends and teachers for helping me make that accomplishment all four years. There were issues were issues with drama every once and a while but I’ve just stayed to myself and I didn’t let that stop me from being the person that I’ve become today. Overall, Glenn high school is a really good school and recommend that people attend it and become successful like me.
So far in my 4 years here at Glenn high school (I'm now a senior) there has been elevated gang activity and most teachers are known to treat the more "diverse" students differently such as handing out punishments more often, dress coding more heavily and making certain racist comments. They also seem to care more about test scores rather than if we actually retain the knowledge or not. Most teachers and administration don't take violent threats or acts of violence towards students seriously. The food the serve is very prison-like and i hope that the realize these things to make it a more enjoyable environment.
Both my brother and I attended Glenn high school and it’s a great school! The staff and teachers are excellent educators. The school continues to support me in my efforts for my future career as a health professional! Some of my favorite people are my teachers and counselors at Glenn, they always are there for me in any circumstance!
I am so glad that I got to be apart of this high school!

Glenn has been my place of education for the past 3 years and I have an older sibling who also attended. We both have similar views on this school. For example we both agree that the overall behavior of the school is terrible and the food they serve is very prison-like. I do hope for better upon our return post quarantine.
Most of the teachers at Glenn High School are amazing, they care so much for the students and their education. They make learning easy. I've learned so much these past four years, and with these challenging times of online learning, the teachers are extremely understanding. What I haven't enjoyed as much is the distasteful connotation it has when I claim to go to Glenn. People living in the area see Glenn as the high school where the bad students go, and it's because of the wonderful diversity that one can find at the school. I personally enjoy attending this misunderstood school.
Glenn High School is full of diverse staff and students. Although education-wise Glenn isn't the best, you'll find some amazing friends and staff to be around. Safety isn't really the best at Glenn, so be careful when attending.
Im currently a sophomore at R.B. Glenn High School, It’s a very diverse school in which we get to express our culture as well as ourselves. It is a very big school so it’s easy to meet people who may have stuff in common. Glenn does take the students in consideration which is amazing, they always have spirit week or stuff like that which makes the high school experience a very special one. They encourage us to take time to learn stuff about one another. The clubs, activities are very special to me. They make high school fun and makes it feel like a family. Glenn is overall a great school.
Robert B Glenn High School was the best high school in time for me. The school was overcrowded and had some problems with upper management. Overall the school offered a pretty good variety of classes to take and offereds some career ready classes at the career center in Winston Salem.
Of all the school's that I have attended throughout my life, I appreciate Robert B. Glenn the most. My experience at the school was phenomenal because the teaching staff is excellent. Their teaching style and technique matched well with my learning ability. I also am an athlete, so I really enjoyed athletics at the school. The coaching staff has made a huge impact on my life, and I have learned many life lessons from them. The overall environment at Robert B. Glenn High School is one that I will never forget. It has made my high school experience one for the books.
