I purchased the Secret Life of Birds walking tour at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne as a gift for my sister, and we both attended. Despite being avid bird enthusiasts, we learned an incredible amount! Our guides, Paul and David, were extremely knowledgeable and eager to share their extensive knowledge about birds and the garden's flora. We observed various bird species, including wetland and carnivorous birds, and gained fascinating insights into bird anatomy and behavior. I highly recommend this tour to bird lovers and even those who aren't, as the gardens are breathtaking, and the scenery alone is worth the visit.

We went to watch our favourite AFL team play...they lost but the G is awesome! We've been before with reserved seats but this time we just had General Admission and got there too late to get a seat but that's OK because it was a great game and the atmosphere was electric.

Surprising! It’s been 30 years since I visited and the visitor’s centre is fantastic as I never was able to go inside the memorial before ! Make sure you go to the visitor’s centre lots of interesting artefacts and the draw card is the view from the balcony !

Great place for food. If you live in Melbourne I have selection envy. You would be able to get any ingredient you need for anything you decided to cook. Some stalls with takeaway food are expensive but others are quite cheap. Awesome toasted reuben sandwiches. Loved the vibe, really busy though!

This is probably the best museum i have been to, superb. From the ancient Chinese pottery(unbelievable skill so far ahead of the Western world) to the impressive range of great paintings by the greatest artists, from old masters like Rembrandt through to to Picasso and Rothko. We very much enjoyed it and will be back the next time we visit Australia

We were given a "Cocktail in the clouds" package which also included the voyager theatre experience.
Sitting in our plush red "egg shell" pod chairs we settled in for out 15 minute journey through 16 iconic Melbourne locations.
Awesome experience and we were advised to do this event first before enjoying our cocktails which was taken onboard & thank goodness.
We enjoyed our cocktails at Bar 88 whilst admiring the scenery of Melbourne city and beyond.
The time you spend at the highest observation deck in the southern hemisphere is initially dependent on your own itinerary. The weather gods were on our side so we were in no hurry to leave. ( also it was not crowded)
We enjoyed the 360 degree views of our city and would recommend this experience.

Decent sized arcade with interesting architecture. Shops on both sides, selling mainly higher value products. We had high tea at the English tea room. Very English decor cafe with pretty delicious pastries that cost $$$. But a good break to rest our legs and relax in this pretty cafe.

My colleagues were planning a presentation on Victorian first nations history and we came here to research the topic. The Bunjilaka exhibit had so many interesting parts. There is the outdoor food garden, with eels swimming in the pond. An exhibition of first nations fashion was interesting also. Of great interest to us are the stories of the people from times gone by, their tools, stories of history and Bunjil, and their laws.

Melbourne Zoo is one of the nicest we’ve ever visited. It’s clean and well thought out. The animals appeared to be very well cared for and their habitats designed so they can be out if/when they choose. Unfortunately, the platypus wasn’t up for visitors the day we visited so we left Australia without ever getting to see one. 😭

I so enjoy checking out the libraries in major cities. This one did not disappoint. Easy to get around either by stairs or elevators. The dome and reading/reference room are especially noteworthy.
