I am purchasing this keyboard for my mom for Christmas. I will not be the primary user, but I have used some mechanical keyboards, so I feel like I can give an informed review on this keyboard. My review is purely based on a 1 hour test session, in which I am also typing out the review on the keyboard itself. After that, it is going back into the box and getting wrapped for christmas.First off, I would like to state that the build quality is fantastic. I was hoping that it would be decent for a $60 price tag, but I was actually very surprised to see just how good it actually is. I would say the build quality is on par with my $120 G.Sklill keyboard, which I love to use. As far as the build itself goes, the only thing that I think is missing is a wrist rest. But I am used to one, so the fact that it doesn't have one is very noticeable, but that can always be taken care of aftermarket. After all, I knew going into the review I purchased it knowing it did not have one. And since the main use-case of the keyboard will be on a couch, having out would have been awkward for my mom. No points for or against because of this.The keyboard itself has excellent build quality, and I am enjoying typing on it. The keyboard is using OUTEMU - BROWN SWITCHES. They feel very nice. The switches have a very smooth action, no tactile bump, and no click occurs. They also have a nice bottom-out feeling, while keeping a nice and comfortable spring-return as you remove the pressure on the key-press. I will say that they are somewhat firm, and I would rather have the lighter red switches (My normal keyboard used Cherry Blues) , but i wouldn't say I'm complaining about the switches, as that is my personal preference here. I'm sure I would get used to these switches, as they are pretty comfortable to type on.I purchased this keyboard because my mom wanted one that was wireless plug and play, while having a rechargeable battery so that she didn't have to mess around with AAs. This fits that criteria. I convinced her to let me purchase one with mechanical switches, since she spends the majority of her day typing away for work, and I wanted it to be more comfortable. All in all, I think she will be pretty happy with the keyboard.The keyboard is rechargable, which is great. It also immediately switched from wireless to wired mode when plugging it in. In wireless mode, it was *usually* very responsive. (keep reading). In Wired mode though, it was much more responsive. I don't think that most people would notice the issue, but as someone that plays games on both a laptop and desktop, and has tried multiple keyboards, i was able to notice it immediately. But, I will say the when working properly, both modes were very responsive and felt good.- The reason I worded it like that was because when I removed the charge cable, it became intermittent with the wireless dongle. To the point that almost none of the keys I was pressing were even being sent to the computer. I was only able to produce this result once, so it may have been a fluke. It appears that the trick to properly switching between modes, is to stop typing, then wait for the computer to acknowledge the device removal with the beeping sound windows does.Now, onto the reasons I deducted a star. - The review claims full RGB. This is 'technically true', as the keyboard is using RGB. Unfortunately, there is no software available that I could find, so you cannot customize the colors at all. The LEDs are static one color, and all you can change is the pattern they illuminate with.- The illumination could be brighter. This problem is a 2-fold issue though. The LEDs themselves are pretty dim compared to my G.Skill keyboard, but also the key-caps are frosted. Combined, this results in a fairly dim keyboard backlight. I think if we were able to have it set to full white instead of various colors, like purple, it would be much better.- I hate the font on the key-caps. Its very futuristic / gamer. I can respect what they were going for, but some of the keys can be a little hard to understand, due to the blockiness of the font. I typically don't look at the keyboard while typing, and neither does my mom, so this is definitely not the end of the world. I am just noting it.Lastly, after typing this review, my finger muscles are feeling a bit strained. But I think that is because I am used to a much lighter key-press being required on my keyboard. It is also a little chilly in my house at the moment, so I am sure that is playing into it as well. All in all though, I would still recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a wireless keyboard. And I would even go so far to say that I would consider this brand and this switch manufacturer the next time I am looking to purchase a new mechanical keyboard.
