- AnnaNew York City, New York2 contributionsUnique culture, beauty, history and a lot of fun!!!Setas is a very popular place in the old town of Seville with many delicious cafes and restaurants. In the evenings, magic begins there - this grandiose mushroom begins to be illuminated with different lights to the beat of the sounding music. You can climb on it and enjoy many free performances by artists of various genres. In addition, there is a real flamenco center very close, do not miss this chance! Setas is cool, beautiful and fun!👍🤩❤️Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 July 2023
- Sally62Northampton, United Kingdom5,523 contributionsAmazing structure - visit at night the light showThe largest wooden structure in the world, our receptionist told us that this wasn't popular when it was first built but is now a loved meeting spot for locals. as it is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. We decided to visit at night when it is illuminated in changing colours with ambient music - it is quite the experience to walk along the walkways and see the city lit up all around you. We also visited the are during the day but didn't go up it. It is more expensive to visit at night but I think it's worth the cost. Definitely something unique and not to be missed during your stay.Visited September 2022Written 8 July 2023
- MKFinchie434 contributionsSpectacular lightshow at night and great views during day - 2 visits includedLoved this structure and experience. The ticket allows a second return visit within 48 hours, so you can visit during day and return for the Aurora, the nighttime lightshow. I loved both experiences. There are great views all over Seville from the top and the walkway snakes up and down around the structure, which apparently is the largest wooden structure in the world (although it has a steel frame). It wasn't busy during the day when we went. There is also a film about Seville to watch before or after the walk, quite dramatic in places. Although it is high, the walkways are placed on the structure with no dramatic drops when you look over. My husband isn't a fan of heights but managed this ok. The view from underneath the structure is equally impressive. I would recommend going up the stairways/escalators to the area immediately underneath. It is lovely and shady with lots of seating which the locals obviously love, plus different angles of the amazing structure. We then returned in the evening for the sunset and light show and that was very popular. The sunset wasn't the most spectacular but the light show was, with all the coloured lights changing and lighting up different angles of the wood. They take a photo of your party near the start which you can buy for 10 euros at the end. Again we went to the area underneath it afterwards as that's just as spectacular and had a nice buzz about it. Underneath the whole structure is a market and a museum with the remains of a Roman town. This is not included but if you have tickets to the Alcazar you can get in free. It was a nice place to escape the heat. There are lots of restaurants/bars all around this area and the main shopping area is also very close.Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the views from the lookout twice, once in the morning and once at night with the light show. We hope to see you again on another occasion, best regards!Written 1 August 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2023Written 26 July 2023
- Charles SNorthamptonshire, United Kingdom1,034 contributionsWOW!For amazing views of Seville, visit the Metropol Parasol observation deck and walkway. Built from 2005 to 2011, Las Setas (The Mushrooms) is so called because the shape resembles six large mushrooms. There are skywalks circling around gastro bars and the first floor has an open air plaza where entertainers often perform. There is a market on the ground floor with an Antiquarium museum in the basement area with an archaeological site showing ruins of ancient Roman, Visigoth and Moorish eras. A fascinating place, offering something for all ages - definitely worth a visit.Hi, Thank you very much for the review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere and the monument. - speedyDundeeDundee, United Kingdom60 contributionsDisappointing this time aroundThird time in Seville and decided to visit Las Setas to fill a morning. It was worth the visit. Great views from the top. However, it would still be quite far down my to do list. Roman ruins underneath were disappointing compared to previous visit. There were leaks from pipes with buckets scattered around and information dispels were not working.Good afternoon, Thank you very much for your visit. - Caroline M9 contributionsSomething different€15 per adult. Ticket gives you 48hour access, so can come back at different times. Cool to see something other than churches, however rather expensive. Worth coming back in evening for night show and seeing it from the top. Light show is underwhelming from the bottomVisited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 August 2023
- Suzanne BLondon, United Kingdom43 contributionsGreat 369degree view of SevilleWent at 8 pm, fabulous views of the city. Didn't really need to book. Lovely views all around the city with the evening sun just setting. Short film to introduce Seville to view before or afterwards. Well worth the visit. Incredible construction and well explained on staircase down as you leave.Hello, thank you very much for your visit. - Rudy MBoston, Massachusetts1 contributionColorful and unique experience with good city views. We came a bit before sunset which gives a good view of the city before dark, and the sunset view is nice. Enjoyed the 180 degree Omni screen with movie of city highlights. After the sun goes down one can see various churches and sites lit up and the changing colors of the structure are beautiful.Hello, Thank you very much for your review. - JohnUKLondon, United Kingdom1,097 contributionsA must- seeSo pleased we visited this. We went once during the day and again for the illuminations at night. Two very different experiences and I suggest you do them both. In the day there was no queue but at night we queued (even though we had our ticket- make sure you don’t queue in the one for tickets if you’re on your return visit). The ticket is valid for 2 days and you get one day and one night visit. You don’t appreciate the light show from below. You have to see it from the top. We found the audio visual film about Seville wonderful. It’s included in the ticket so don’t miss it.Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed both visits and that you liked them both, especially the light show from the 360º viewpoint. - Mrs JacqBromley, United Kingdom26 contributionsA lovely experience at sunset. This was a lovely thing to do & I recommend you book a slot just before sunset so you can see Seville before & after. The film is also very good. However, I would NOT recommend buying their photo, as we were given a code for a digital copy that didn’t work & despite several attempts to resolve it, they were quite disinterested in helping us. An expensive error on our part.Hello, thank you very much for your visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the sunset from the 360º viewpoint and the Feeling experience. Cool vibes at night with performers. A circus duo was excellent in a small show there under the mushrooms. Excellent light display.

Great view of the city from the top of the wooden structure. It’s definitely something different. Don’t skip the immersive film and don’t forget to go back for the aurora show at night time which is included in your general ticket. If returning at night with a ticket from earlier in the day just queue in the entrance queue as there is no need to purchase a time slotted ticket again. You’ll thank me later when you see the chaos at night. They are very understaffed for the night openings

I must say that I’m confused by some of the negative reviews, but I guess these things can be subjective. This was on my list of things to visit whilst in Seville and I loved the contrast of old and new. Surprised to learn that it’s the world’s largest wooden structure. We visited late morning. No issues with queues etc. really enjoyed the film about Seville. The views from the top (accessed by lift) are fantastic. 15 Euros per person. Our visit lasted 90 minutes. We thought that it was very good value. We also visited the market underneath where you can buy a reasonably priced lunch.

Be prepared to get totally lost in the little streets. The locals were so friendly and helpful giving us directions. Suggest not driving anywhere as Waze, Google maps signals are not great.
Book, book, book ahead if there’s something you really want to visit. Very little available on the day or even the day before.

A very strange structure in the middle of the city, looking odd and monstrous, completely out of place in this beautiful historic city.

Very glad I followed the advice of the reviews here. Just walked around on the ground taking in the structure which was nice enough. Especially if you are planning to do the tower in the Cathedral which I did the day before - get the views there.

Couldn't believe the price! €60 for four of us with no concession price for "seniors", unlike most places in Spain.
It's quite ugly, considering the the rest of beautiful old Seville.
It's supposed to be spectacular at night when it's lit up.
It isn't.....
This is the only place in Spain where you don't need to book a "skip the line" ticket, there wasn't a queue for tickets, given the crazy price I wasn't surprised.

Interesting mix of old and new but overpriced for what you get. An odd film about Seville that I enjoyed but gave my friends motion sickness. The best part is just walking around and taking in the views of Seville and the countryside beyond.
Luckily mid week it was quiet. There was a small group, around 5 people in front, and that took several minutes but we bought (not pre-booked) tickets very quickly.

I recommend going just before sunset so you can see it on both day and night as well as seeing the sunset. Very beautiful and there’s also a mini 15 minute film you can watch of Seville

An unexpected pleasure. A clever modern sculpture in this ancient city. Great views over Seville and easy access via the lift to the viewing platform. We went during the day and it was very quiet.

We didn’t book online we just turned up and bought a ticket from the ticket office. It wasn’t that busy at around 9.30/10.00 am so I’m sure you’ll be able to get tickets! Enjoy it, it’s fabulous!

I am finding conflicting info about the cost of visiting. Is it possible to just pay for the elevator ride to the top for the views - how much does this cost? thankyou
Kuma L

The price of the ticket includes the entire facility; the archeological site, which is fairly quick to visit but well preserved; then the elevator to the top for a phenomenal view of the city. You can view the film "Feeling Sevilla" either before or after your tour of Las Setas and there is a lovely gift shop at the top that is not overly priced. Do see the film; it is absolutely amazing. We were able to come back at night to enter Las Setas to see the light show with our used tickets.

Are there long lines to get in? Is it worth going later in the day? Our flight arrives late around 2:30. I thought this may be a nice thing to do after dinner or are there places to eat there.

There are not long waiting lines at Metropol Parasol. I didn't find something special to eat near it.
