Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Steve Singer5 contributionsAmazing story of a relatively unknown part of our wartime history. Bruce was a knowledgeable and passionate guide who took us back in time on a 90 minute walk through the tunnels. Highly recommended. Five out of five.Written 27 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Emma CKent1 contributionHighly recommend this absolute Aladdin’s cave. My 8 and 10 year old son’s loved every minute exploring all the tech for days gone by and my 70 year old father enjoyed it just as much! I’m not the greatest tech fan but I found it fascinating and thoroughly captivating. Mike and Carol are so welcoming and knowledgeable….. we will be back again very soon!Written 29 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dee SAylesford, UK516 contributionsLovely clean sandy beach . Lovely sunny day . Lots of families have a typical day on the beach - great to see. We walked along the beach back to Dumpton gap . Please note that if the tide is in - you will need to take the steps up to the cliff top. Lovely views & worth it . Not easy steps though. Definitely worth another visit . I think i would like to visit in the winter too .Written 23 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stewart CChatham, UK1,058 contributionsWe visited the nature reserve whilst on a trip to Pegwell Bay. The Pegwell Bay area looks out from a stretch of grassed land overlooking the sea and is a nice area for a walk or recreational purposes. There is a good amount of (free) car parking here, a café and public toilets. Also here the visitors will find the Viking Ship ‘Hugin’ a recreation of a 9th century Danish oared ship.
After some refreshments from the café, we took a walk along the coast passing the remains of the former hovercraft terminal on the sands below and onto the shallows which make an ideal feeding ground for wading birds.
Whilst taking the walk, the visitor can enjoy fine views over the sea and almost back into Ramsgate harbour which is just behind the curved headland.Written 19 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dee SAylesford, UK516 contributionsLovely sandy beach . No facilities … bonus . Lots of people walking along the promenade . Dog friendly beach . Better for seclusion and quietness. - iamRayRayLondon, UK373 contributionsPlayed the Exec course over the weekend
Tee boxes in good condition and course itself was decent given the rain / downpours the night before
As always a challenging 9 holes for all standards of golfer
Would recommend putting the driver away, given only one hole (usually with a fierce crosswind) is within it's range
Overall as always the facilities are great, not the cheapest on the range, but given the selection around the area, very enjoyableWritten 17 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
