Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a grand gallery but provide a good glimpse of works from local artists. The set up is nice and is worth a visit if you are in the area. The very friendly atmosphere made me feeling welcome there. Lovely sakura blossoming at the car park when we visited. Also display in the open air area surrounding the museum.

A small size museum with interesting exhibition. When I visited it where a special art work exhibition was held. It opened even on Sunday--to my great surprise.

I have gone to a number of exhibits at the Chiba City Museum of Art. They have done some truly excellent exhibits of the history of modern Japanese prints mostly moku hanga, wood block prints. I have been to some other very good exhibits featuring prints and will be going to what looks like a real winner of Hasui prints this weekend. Once in a while I have gone to a few that were a waste of time. On the whole well worth the rather long train trip over from Tokyo though particularly if the subject material is of interest to you. Mostly borrowed materials I do not know how large their permanent collection is, I would guess small and undistinguished but only a guess.

The museum is on the 7th and 8th floors of the old Kawasaki Bank now renovated as a city office. There is a small but decent gift shop and a restaurant which I have not tried.

It is a rather long, slightly uphill walk from the JR station my suggestion is to take a taxi from the station and then walk back.

This is an art museum located in Chuo Ward, Chiba City. In 2020, the entire building was renovated to mark the 25th anniversary of its founding, making it even more enjoyable. The special exhibitions held on the 7th and 8th floors are highly rated by art lovers. In 2023, there will be an exhibition of Atsuhiko Misawa. Currently, an exhibition of picture book author Ryoji Arai is being held (as of October 25th). Other attractions include a permanent exhibition of works from the museum's collection, workshops by artists of various genres, and a library with a collection of art books and picture books from Japan and abroad. In addition, there is a restaurant with a great view on the 11th floor, and a reasonably priced bar in the basement that also serves local sake from Chiba Prefecture. You can enjoy yourself for half a day.
