Where Is Wyckoff Located in New Jersey?
Wyckoff is located in northeast New Jersey in Bergen County, an estimated 30 miles from New York City. It’s surrounded by Franklin Lakes to the west, Mahwah and Allendale to the north; Waldwick, Midland Park, and Ridgewood to the east, and North Haledon and Hawthorne to the south. Route 208 runs through the west side of town, and Franklin Avenue, also known as County Route 502, runs through the north.
What Are the transportation options in Wyckoff?
Commuters traveling by car have easy access to Route 208, which runs north to south through the western part of town. Route 208 merges into I-287 at the Franklin Lakes and Oakland border.
NJ Transit offers a weekday express service that departs Wortendyke Park and Ride in Midland Park and travels along Godwin Avenue and Goffle Road on its way to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. There is also daily service from Wortendyke to Ridgewood and then to Port Authority. Coach USA buses operate in town with several stops from Franklin Avenue, Wyckoff Avenue, and Grandview Avenue on the way to Port Authority.
Nearby train stations are located in Waldwick, Ridgewood, and Glen Rock. Trains travel through Secaucus to Hoboken. Commuters can transfer at Secaucus Junction to Penn Station in New York City or continue to Hoboken and take the PATH or ferry from there to New York City.

Eisenhower Middle School (sixth through eighth grade).
High school students in ninth through 12th grade can attend Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School in Franklin Lakes or Indian Hills High School in Oakland. Bergen County residents can also send their children to Bergen County Academies in Hackensack or Bergen Tech, with locations in Teterboro and Paramus, both serving students in ninth through twelfth grades.
There are two privates schools in town: Eastern Christian Middle School (sixth through eighth-grade) and past National Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence recipient Saint Elizabeth School (pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade), operating under the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.

Zabriskie Pond Park is a hot spot for fishing and is located across from the Van Voorhees-Quackenbush-Zabriskie House, which offers public and privates tours to learn more about this Wyckoff landmark that is listed on the New Jersey and National Register of Historic Places. Russell Farms Community Park has a recreational trail, gazebo, and an educational arboretum. There is also a Monarch butterfly garden. If you want to be more active, Wyckoff Community Park has a soccer field, baseball fields, and a nature trail, while Memorial Town Hall Complex also has baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, a bandshell, tennis courts, a handball court, playground, and football facility.
Explore the James A. McFaul Environmental Center
This 81-acre wildlife sanctuary has a waterfowl pond and nature trails to explore, along with exhibits, workshops, and programs for environmental education. You will find beautiful gardens and spot various wildlife insects, birds, and animals in the area too.

This family-owned business provides fresh produce, poultry, and eggs, as well as baked goods, specialties from their kitchen, homegrown honey, and local gourmet items. Seasonal plants and flowers are available from mid-March through December. Kids enjoy the petting zoo with goats, sheep, alpaca, ponies, pigs, and more.

The Brick House
This restaurant and event venue focuses on steaks, chops, and seafood. Menus items include soups, salads, and side dishes, plus specialties for two featuring rack of lamb au jus and seafood riviera, seafood entrees of shrimp scampi and Maine lobster, and a plethora of steak options. A four-course Sunday Family menu is offered too. In addition to the dining room, there is a bar and cigar bar on-site. A grand ballroom can fit up to 150, while they also feature private dining rooms for smaller events.
The Barn
Built in 1779 as a dairy farm, this well-known establishment was a former speakeasy that now serves buffalo and boneless wings, sandwiches—from an open-faces steak sandwich to a chicken melt and a chicken cheesesteak, burgers, pasta, fish and chicken dishes, among others. Fun fact: The bar was built from an old farm wagon.
Blue Moon Mexican Cafe
With two other locations—one in Bronxville, New York, and Englewood, New Jersey—this location, offering a menu filled with traditional Mexican dishes, also has outdoor live music weekly.
Sakura
A popular sushi Japanese restaurant, Sakura offers daily specials, sushi and sashimi boats for two, special rolls, and kitchen entrees of tempura, teriyaki, noodles, and fried rice. Party platters are also available.
