      The Bourne Ultimatum

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The Bourne Ultimatum is an intelligent, finely tuned non-stop thrill ride. Another strong performance from Matt Damon and sharp camerawork from Paul Greengrass make this the finest installment of the Bourne trilogy.

Philippa Hawker The Age (Australia) t's full of tension, but it's also disturbing on another level: it's hard not to be reminded of recent events. Rated: 4/5 Jun 23, 2015 Full Review Ryan Gilbey New Statesman If it feels like a non-stop demolition derby, at least there's a responsible driver at the wheel. The British director Paul Greengrass makes everything seem more plausible with twitchy camerawork and even twitchier editing. Jun 23, 2015 Full Review David Stratton At the Movies (Australia) I'm sure a lot of people will find it thrilling. Me, I just wanted to get headache [or] seasickness tablets. Rated: 2/5 Jun 23, 2015 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand Paul Greengrass, who also directed 'The Bourne Supremacy, continues his rough and ready style of choreographing complex action scenes on location 'and throwing the audience into the middle of the chaos... Jan 7, 2023 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site Unless the spectator is prepared to relinquish his or her ability to reflect on things almost entirely for two hours or so, Greengrass's film does not stand up to close scrutiny. Feb 14, 2021 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Greengrass knows how to shoot action. There is a hand-to-hand combat scene in Morocco that is as exciting, chaotic and violent as any sequence in the Bourne movies, I just wish he had spent more time on the moments between the mayhem. C. B Amazing end and even better screenplay. This film has some very memorable scenes that feels fresh and captivating. It’s an emotional rollercoaster let’s leave it at that. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Spike G An awsome end to a trilogy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/02/23 Full Review matthias s "Bourne Ultimatum" is a rollercoaster ride of a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of its predecessors. While it's undeniably the best of the Bourne trilogy, it still falls short of earning a full five stars. Matt Damon reprises his role as the enigmatic and relentless Jason Bourne, and his performance is as electrifying as ever. The action sequences are mind-blowing, from the heart-pounding chase scenes through the bustling streets of Tangier to the brutal hand-to-hand combat in the heart of New York City. However, the plot, while intriguing, feels a bit convoluted at times, leaving you scratching your head instead of fully immersed in the story. The film's frenetic pacing can also be exhausting, making it hard to catch your breath. In the end, "Bourne Ultimatum" is a solid addition to the franchise, offering thrills and suspense, but it doesn't quite reach the perfection of its predecessors. If you're a fan of action-packed spy thrillers, it's definitely worth a watch, but don't expect it to surpass the classics of the genre. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Adi 1 Even though this has never been my favorite movie of this franchise and I think its a bit overrated but still it's a well shot, directed and acted movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/23 Full Review Hector A Bourne continues his journey in this movie. Once again proving his intelligence each step of the way. This movie has some of the most memorable scenes from the beginning with him meeting Ross to the fight with Desh. One of the best endings to a movie where more is to come from this spectacular character. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/23 Full Review Le Blanc the best of the trilogy Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
