There wasn't a dry eye in the audience as eight-year-old Ravi took to the stage during the latest episode of Britain's Got Talent. The contestant was joined on stage by his mum, his dad, his little sister and a choir made up of people ranging from five to 78.

Called Ravi's Dream Team, Ravi told judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli the choir would be performing A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. Asked what had made him decide to take part in Britain's Got Talent, brave Ravi shared with Simon that he'd been diagnosed with a brain tumour two years prior but did not want his diagnosis to get in the way of his dreams. He said: "I've watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and I'm here to show that no matter what life throws at you, you can still achieve your dreams."

Ravi's candid admission earned him an affectionate pat on the back from his little sister before Simon asked: "How are you right now?"

"So my brain tumour is stable but I'm still living with the day to day effects," Ravi explained, as Simon stated: "So you've had a really tough time haven't you?"

Simon then asked Ravi to tell him about the people who had joined him on stage. "So to support me I've brought a group of my friends and teachers from school, my family, some medical professionals who have helped me during my diagnosis, and some other amazing children from the brain tumour community," Ravi said.

Ravi then kicked off the first verse beautifully, before he was joined by the stunning harmonies of the choir behind him, which included his mum and dad, with his younger sister also singing a solo. Before their final note, Ravi paused and grabbed his sister's hand so they could sing it together.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house as the choir got a standing ovation from the audience, while a tearful Alesha hit her Golden Buzzer. Simon told him: "I think you are a very talented, very brave, very special person. I'm so happy that you've had this moment because you deserve it, all of you by the way. That's what I call magic. And that's why we have the Golden Buzzer, for people like you, you so deserve it."

Wiping away tears, Alesha then said: "The Golden Buzzer is such a personal thing and I always say I can only press it when it feels right and you're such a remarkable young man. The moment you started talking you just had me, I just loved it, so well done to all of you."

"You're a hero," Bruno said, as Alesha agreed: "You really are." Ravi's Dream Team will join singer Sydnie Christmas and martial arts group, The Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, who both received Golden Buzzer's in the first episode, sending them straight to the live shows.
