Princess Margaret and her husband, Antony Armstrong-Jones, the 1st Earl of Snowdon, had two children, David Armstrong-Jones (now the 2nd Earl of Snowdon following his father's death) and Lady Sarah Chatto. Now, David is the first person in the line of succession who is not a direct descendant of Queen Elizabeth II. "My children are not royal; they just happen to have the Queen for their aunt," Princess Margaret once said; the same is true for her grandchildren, only, the Queen was their great-aunt.
