Meet the Monreauxes, a mega-rich Southern family famed for creating a successful Christian television network. On the cusp of launching a digital retail arm of the company, the family's patriarch, Eugene, dies in a plane crash, leaving his wife, Margaret, to take charge of the family business. Not surprisingly, Eugene's apparent death greatly impacts the family, who are stunned to learn that Eugene fathered three illegitimate children, all of whom are written into his will. Now, Margaret must use her business savvy and Southern charm to control her newly legitimized heirs, whose very existence threatens the Monreaux family name and fortune. Kim Cattrall shines, but Filthy Rich is neither filthy nor rich enough to fulfill its soapy aspirations.

Aramide Tinubu NBC News THINK No longer a prop and certainly not a victim, Cattrall's Margaret is deliciously fun to watch, adding depth and flair to the sometimes overly campy series. Sep 28, 2020 Full Review Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe Cattrall does not disappoint... The rest of the show? It's mediocre. Sep 23, 2020 Full Review Gwen Ihnat AV Club Filthy Rich wants to be more clever than it is, but its overly dramatic plot twists (Eugene's body isn't discovered in the plane crash) can be spotted a mile away by anyone who's seen even a single episode of Dallas. Rated: C- Sep 22, 2020 Full Review Joyce Slaton Common Sense Media Christian-themed melodrama is soapy, light, and fun. Rated: 3/5 Oct 20, 2020 Full Review Esme Mazzeo Tell-Tale TV Filthy Rich commits no crimes of TV but will not be nominated for Emmys. Good enough is good enough for now. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Jasmine Blu TV Fanatic With lies, scandals, betrayal, backstabbing, and a sprinkling of Jesus, Filthy Rich isn't reinventing the wheel here, but it's sinfully delicious, primetime-soap goodness. Mia W I can't believe all these bad reviews. This show was great for what it was … fun, campy, over-the-top entertainment, and Kim Cattrall was fabulous in it! Sure, after a few episodes, it began to drag, but then it picked right back up again, and at the end, I couldn't wait for a 2nd season! I'm still disappointed it was cancelled. I love that Kim Cattrall has moved on and starred in new shows post-SATC. This one suited her perfectly. It should've been given another season, but either way, the first season is still worth a watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This actually had potential. Then the storyline went wayyyyyy South! It was soooo out there and corny! The lead actress was a great premise but they rest? It was Filthy, but not Rich! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This was really bullshit Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow this show really sucks a lot Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Anything campy is so much fun during this awful 2020 year! Kim Cattrel is great as the matriarch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted to like it but im afraid it needs to be "saved" praise Jesus. Not sure there is enough holy water tho to exorcize this hot mess. Not for me and I'm soooo bored in covid quarentine I'm desperate! It also seemed a little like a "vanity project" if you know what I mean. Im sorry...I came and tried...but just deleted my "series record".
