When Prince Maurice von Oranien, Graf von Nassau-Dillenburg was born on 13 November 1567, in Dillenburg, Lahn-Dill-Kreis, Hesse, Germany, his father, Willem von Nassau-Dillenburg Prince of Orange, was 34 and his mother, Anna von Sachsen, was 22. He married Margaretha van Mechelen in 1600, in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He died on 23 April 1625, in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands, at the age of 57, and was buried in Delft, South Holland, Netherlands.
