With a New York Times Games subscription, you have access to all of The New York Times Word Games and Logic Puzzles These can be played on a web browser or on your mobile device with the Games app (for iOS and Android).
The Games and puzzles include:
- The Crossword - Access to the Daily Crossword puzzles the evening before their release in print
- The Mini Crossword
- Wordle
- Spelling Bee
- Connections
- Letter Boxed
- Tiles
- Vertex
- An archive of over 10,000 crosswords including our Daily puzzles back to 1993 and Minis back to 2014.
- A subscriber-only monthly bonus puzzle, back to 1997 (online only).
- The ability to sync your puzzle progress across devices when linked to your nytimes.com account.

Note: New York Times Games subscriptions do not include e-reader editions, the annual Puzzle Mania special section, News, Cooking, Wirecutter, or The Athletic.
If you do not have a subscription that includes access to Games, you can still access:
- The Mini Crossword
- Three Archived Crossword puzzles, updated weekly online
- Sudoku
- Wordle
- Connections
- A limited number of Vertex and Tiles games
- Spelling Bee up to the level "Solid”
The option to buy Puzzle Packs (either new puzzles or puzzles curated from our Archive) in the Games app

Keep in mind that smartphone and tablet devices need to be updated to the most recent operating system version in order to be compatible with the Games app.
Games is included with Home Delivery and All Access subscriptions.
If you purchased your Games subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, make sure you select Continue with Apple or Google when you log in or create your New York Times account. To play across multiple devices and web browsers, log in to your New York Times account.
If you are not logged into your account then all of your game progress will be stored locally on your device and not on your account which can cause you to lose your progress.
When you play games logged into your account:
- You will have access to all saved puzzle progress, statistics, and streaks if you upgrade to a new phone or change devices.
- You can play across multiple devices. Play from your desktop at home or on your phone and have a complete record of puzzles you’ve solved wherever you go.
Depending on your subscription type, you will be billed either every 28 days or every year (annually).
- Subscriptions renew automatically and are charged in advance of each billing cycle unless you cancel.
- Sales tax may apply.
If you purchased your subscription through a third-party (such as Google Play or iTunes), you will need to contact the third-party directly for billing inquiries.
