I’m an idiot. I never realized this was Ronnie singing the female part. And always wondered who Ronnie was in “just like Ronnie said”. I don’t know how I missed that detail all this time.
And it's "just like Ronnie sang."
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 514,197,564 comments, and only 108,147 of them were in alphabetical order.
Makes even more sense.
Mind blown! I didn’t even know he was saying ‘just like Ronnie said’ all these years. Thought it was ‘just like outta sight’ whatever the hell that means.
Money's Wikipedia said he wasn't going to do the song unless Ronnie sang the parts herself. She made the song in my opinion.
on a side note Eddie Money came to some carnival in my town and put together an impromtu band because there was an empty stage, me and my friend were about 5-10 feet away from the band and it started raining. Everyone was leaving looking for shelter except me and my friend and the band, Eddie looked at us and said "As long as I have an audience, I'm going to keep on singing"........then it started thunder and lightning nearby and we all decided it was time to leave
He played at a small venue where I lived in GA. We brought my dog and he sang with my dog. He also gave all the proceeds to veterans organizations. WHAT A GUY!
TIL he says "just like ronnie said". I've always mumbled through that part. Now imma scream it.
I think it’s actually “just like Ronnie sang.”
TIL it's actually sang. Still gonna belt it.
Absolutely same.
I got to meet him and his band at a show because my parents were friends with someone in the band. The whole freakin band was so nice to us as little ass kids. Signed my Disney autograph book, picked us up. Played with us. Eddie was super friendly. Good times.
That’s great...what a nice memory.
I was 15 years old, visiting some family on Apple Valley CA when I first saw this video. Directly after was Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi
Rest In Peace Ronnie Spector..
Don’t know about a “live” audience.
Wait “be my little baby” was Ronnie Spector?
😆 Good point!
TIL Eddie Money died.
In 2019, unfortunately.
Weirdly Ronnie Spector died today…
The choir in heaven is just a little bit more sassy tonight
He did have those two tickets didn’t he?
I heard him sing this song in 1996 at Ft Huachua AZ. Amazing.
I have really have known her from the song. Then I learned of the Ronnettes. Then I learned about her marriage to Phil Spector. That was fucked up. He was a POS.
I've always loved this song purely because of Ronnies part in it.
RIP
Rest In Peace. Glad she outlived that piece of shit Phil Spector.
I knew that line was in reference to her, but I didn't realize she was actually singing on the song.
After all these years, I finally get who Ronnie is
I always flashback to my senior year of HS in 1986 when I hear this. Great tune.
Life changing!!!❤️
This song will forever be associated with Macgruber for me.
Oh damn...she was hot...
This is just the video.
"performing" such as artists do making the video...
Sorry, I should've said "music video for 'Take Me Home Tonight'...."
Hes using that saxophone wrong fyi
