Maine East High School Reviews
Rating 3.93 out of 5 412 reviews
Maine East was a very good school for me! I enjoyed my time a lot, as there was lots of actives. I was born in Palestine, and with my previous school I felt like I couldn't relate to most people. With Maine East being a very diverse school, students coming from all over the world. It felt like home more than anything. They would do actives for certain cultures. The teachers were super patient with everyone and there was lots of recourses to use. Overall the 3 years I spent there were one of my favorites years of life.
Maine East is a great school that values student experiences. The school offers a wide array of classes that fit everyone's interests. The teachers prioritize their students. Most teachers are always paying attention to their students and their different areas of strengths and weaknesses. When it come to parent involvement at Maine East, there very little close to none at all. If this can change, it can open up an even wider range of opportunities for the students at Maine East High School.
Maine East has a very diverse student body and lots of great school events. The teachers truly care about their student's success and will do everything to help. The school has many different resources to help students prepare for college such as counselors assigned to each student. There are many different clubs to choose from, and it is fairly easy to start a new one if you aren't interested in the existing ones. They offer a variety of AP classes as well as regular classes. They have a great electives program that offers many courses in specific job fields that help a student explore their interests. Along with these courses they offer great classrooms equipped with materials and machines needed for a hands-on learning experience such as CAD software and CNC machines for engineering classes. The cafeteria offers good food; however, the lines can get very long during lunch times. Overall, this is a good high school in the Park Ridge Area.
