Cody Ross is trying to complete his education and finish off a college baseball career on a high note. A third baseman, he has a good chance of earning playing time at that position. Moved to the Dallas area so his wife could attend UT Southwestern Medical School.

COLLEGE: Played the 2005 and 2006 seasons at Texas State. Hit .189 as a freshman in 30 games, but had three extra base hits in his 14 hits that season. Was hitting .333 when his sophomore season ended with injury seven games in. Played in 2007 at Wharton County Junior College and was first-team All-Conference

2009: .439 avg, Played in and started 46 games, lead the team in 21 2b, had 3 3b, and 15 hr, 67 rbi. Named American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ross was a first-team All-Centex and All-District player at Austin Bowie HS, where he also played football.
