      camille l Comme d'habitude dans les comédies 90s avec Stephen Chow, The Mad Monk oscille fortement entre l'hystérique fatigant et le réellement brillant. De retour avec Johnnie To, son Mad Monk est malheureusement plus proche de la première solution que de la deuxième. C'est assez dommage car si Stephen Chow n'est vraiment pas top, le supporting cast composé de gens comme Maggie Cheung, Anthony Wong, Man Tat Ng ou Anita Mui parvient à être vraiment drôle. Mais à l'instar de leur précédent Justice, My Foot, The Mad Monk dépasse allègrement son quart d'heure de bienvenue. Bruyant, occasionnellement intelligent et surtout d'une lenteur sans nom, The Mad Monk ne restera pas dans les annales des films de Johnnie To. The subtitles were just THAT BAD. All I can do is rate it as a Canadian white dude and say: stay far far far away, unless you can find a high quality copy or don't need subtitles.... in that case, take a chance if you're a Chow fan like me.
