Was laughing through the intro. Book has room for improvement but I enjoyed every minute of it. I usually stay away from biographies of any sort but this hooked me from page one. Don Jr takes an honest look at his life and has the decency to admit he had a privileged uobringing,due to wealth and not skin colour as keeps being touted as the excuse of the day, but does not apologise for it. Why should he? His dad was wealthy and successful, despite a few dips,why should the family not benefit from his hard work. He earned it for them. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants their eyes opened to the insanity that is the left.

As a Brit I can only look on, wishing we had someone like DJT and his organisation looking out for the UK, in the same way as they're looking out for the USA. This is a fine expose of the hard work and political chicanery that has to be endured by anyone going up against a corrupt establishment.

Don Jr. Kind of burst onto the scene during his dad's presidential campaign, I like many had never heard him talk until the 2016 election.

He's quickly gained a reputation for being a great speaker, easier to listen to then his father due to his high energy and by immersing himself in the culture millennials deal with daily.

While I won't say I can relate to the millionaire son of a president but I definitely feel closer to this man then any of the Clinton's, Obama, bidens and Harris's of the world.

I walked into my local bookstore and I was looking for a book about our President, Donald J. Trump. In the political section, I mostly saw books about President Obama and the Clintons. And when I finally found three or four books about Trump, I quickly realized they were all negative . I walked out of the book store and was very mad. I believe that in any book store, you should be able to buy a positive book about President Trump or any President for that matter. Luckily I managed to find Triggered by Donald Trump Jr. online.

Donald J. Trump doesn’t pretend to be a world renowned author. His word choices are not the best and the structure of the book isn’t perfect but he tells the truth. He lays out his family history, is upfront about his views, and admits that him and his father are not perfect. Triggered starts by telling the story of the Trump family. He goes into detail about his childhood in Czechoslovakia with his grandparents and how his summers there influenced his life. He isn’t “daddy’s little rich boy” like the media tries to pretend. He pushed himself to learn languages and took his education seriously. He details his upbringing and his relationships with his siblings. He also goes into detail about his father and grandfather's relationship.

Donald Trump Jr. talks a lot about how many on the left have no tolerance for people that do not agree with them. He gives a lot of examples of this throughout the book. He tells the story of when Mike Pence, the vice-President elect at the time, went to the musical Hamilton with his daughter and nieces and nephews. At the end of the show, the cast started lecturing him in front of the whole audience. “As gracious as anyone you’ll ever meet, the vice-president excused the rudeness of the cast” and he told his daughter “That’s what democracy sounds like”. (Page 19). This is one example of many in the book where Republicans are treated horrendously by Democrats who hate them just because they are Republicans.

Donald Trump Jr. doesn’t just talk about situations like what happened to Vice President Pence. He spends a lot of time on policy. One section I really enjoyed was when he talked about The North American Free Trade Agreement called NAFTA. He tells the history of it when President Clinton signed it and its strengths and weaknesses. He talks about why President Trump didn’t like it as it was. “It wasn’t only the Rust Belt that suffered. American farmers did too. Before NAFTA, farmers had been $200 million up in the balance of trade with Mexico and Canada. A few years after the deal was signed, they were minus $1.5 billion. Maybe even worse, was the fact that the crops we were importing were displacing the crops we grow here.” (Page 64) Donald Trump Jr. goes on to explain his father’s plan to fix the agreement so that the US wasn’t getting hurt by it.

Triggered ends with a lot of detail about the liberal media and how the media wants Trump to be destroyed. Donald Trump Jr. says “When I hit the road with the Trump campaign in 2015, the first thing I noticed was that people were fed up with liberal censorship and political correctness. all over the country, folks were tired of being talked down by the elite political class, told over and over again that their concerns didn’t matter and their voices weren’t going to be heard.” (Page 204) This is exactly how I felt walking out of my local bookstore that day. The owner didn’t want me or anyone else to be able to get a book that is positive about our President. That is a shame. Triggered is a book for ANYONE and any AGE who wants to know the truth about the Trump family and why President Trump has made some of the decisions he has. This book gives information you will never hear from the Fake News, aka CNN. Read Triggered if you want to hear a first hand account of what it is like being a conservative in the USA today
