The covered period spans the day First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy entered Otis Air Force Base Hospital for the birth of son Patrick Bouvier Kennedy until her departure. Included is footage of the First Lady, President John F. Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, John F. Kennedy Jr., Jean Kennedy Smith, Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Senator Edward M. (Ted) Kennedy, and Press Secretary Pierre Salinger.
