We visited without a reservation on a busy Friday evening and it was early, so we were lucky enough to be seated in a table inside the ground floor, which was fine. First impressions are excellent: the atmosphere is cosy and the ambience is lovely....In addition to the wonderful decoration, it feels like you are at a friend's home. Of coursel, the tables are cramped and very narrow (as is the norm in Parisian bistros). The menu is quite limited, and it is not written in english, but the waiters speak english and they explain to you everything you need to know about the dishes. However, after that part, the service became a little indifferent. We ordered the asperges bio (asparagus with sauce hollandaise and parmesan cheese, at 18 Euros), the ravioli au champignons (mushrooms ravioli, at 13 euros) and the supreme de volaille en ballotine (chicken breast in ballotine with mascarpone creme, at 25 euros), plus 2 glasses of red wine. The food is tasty, but not something exceptional, and the prices are very expensive, especially in relation to the size of the portions (very small).T he asparagus was fine, and the ravioli was nice, with a tasty sauce, although it didn't have great mushroom flavour, as they should. if you want to have a proper full meal (with starter, main dish and perhaps a dessert) you should definitely estimate around (or more than) 50 euros per person, and I am not sure if it is worth the splurge. An enjoyable, but quite pricey, experience overall.More

We just finished another outstanding dinner at Pamela Popo and I thought it high time to write a short review. My wife and I have been dining at Pamela Popo off and on for more than two years now and have always enjoyed the outstanding...and innovative cuisine, wines and service. The menu changes regularly, but there’s always a little something for everyone— from classic French dishes with a contemporary twist to international fusion— all perfectly executed and presented. The wine list is extensive with a broad and carefully selected offering of moderately-priced French regional wines... and the cocktails are carefully crafted. Besides the hip, laid-back and casual atmosphere (especially for fans of Serge Gainsbourg), excellent cuisine and wines, the real highlight at Pamela Popo is the team. We have always been welcomed warmly and treated to the very finest Parisian hospitality. Decadent and delicious... Merci beaucoup et à bientôt !More

Wow, wow and thrice wow! I took my daughter to Paris for a little me and her time before she goes to uni. We would normally just stroll the beautiful Marais districts and choose a restaurant and on this particular night, we had no joy....We continued to walk and literally stumbled upon Pamela Popo. They had to check for availability and we took the last remaining table outside. It was clear this was a super popular restaurant - all night Parisians were joining tables of friends and many people were turned away, who had no reservations so we were super lucky. We didn't venture indoors and on a balmy night, it was lovely to sit outside and whilst endure the cuisine, people watch. The food...... oh my days - divine! In the 4 days we were in Paris, this by far was the best food we tasted. Little touches like the complementary radishes with sea salt and paprika (I've tried to mimic these at home and failed!) The starter, the main and the pudding were to die for. Beautiful tastes and flavours and you can tell love is put into these dishes. We were served by 3 different and lovely waiters who all seemed passionate about their craft, explaining the dishes and recommending wines! If this wasn't our last night we would surely have revisited. Amazing food, amazing location (especially if you sit outside) and just a gorgeous evening spent at Pamela Popo. We ate the Summer Ravioli, Snails, Braised Beef Cheeks, something chocolatey and Pistachio Brûlée. All sublime! After thought - expected to pay a lot more than we actually did!!More

Booked for dinner. We were left upstairs, staff chatted loudly below. My dinner, paleron de beouf, was reheated roast beef with microwaved vegetables. If you want to pay 27 euro to sit listening to pumping europop and eat a reheated roast dinner, this is the...place for you. Drinks also 10-15% above other, better establishments visited in the area. Avoid for dinner at least.More

Each dish, across 4 guests was really lovely. Nobody had a bad dish, but every course had a star that made those not eating it a little jealous. Friendly staff and a well curated wine list add some great touches, but the al fresco dining...in a vibrant part of the city made it my favourite place of the 4 nights in Paris. Will definitely be on my must visit list for my next visit to Paris.More

We decided to go to this restaurant so cute decor and the good looking menu. When we arrived it was still empty but started picking up in the night. we ordered some appetisers, a bottle of wine and we shared the steak which was lovely....I believe the waiter was flying solo so the service started slacking in the end.More

This restaurant stood out for its high food quality, very kind staff, and the interesting decoration of the restaurant. It’s a very cute and small restaurant, but perfect for couples. We ate the truffled gouda cheese, the duck fillet, and the beef cheek, and they...were all delicious! Big shoutout to the waiter who was very kind and very helpful when giving out reccomendatiions and answering doubts.More

Our hotel concierge recommended Pamela Popo to us for dinner. We walked to the restaurant and checked the menu at the door. Several interesting dishes were listed so we got a table. Service was immediate, friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and then dinner. Our...table enjoyed starters of white asparagus and Eggs Mayonnaise. The eggs were unbelievably good. A surprising spin on deviled eggs with the addition of a citrus coulee as a garnish. Diner selections included the Chicken Supreme, Braised Beef Cheeks, Seared Cod, and Ravioli. For dessert we shared the Pomme au Four (baked apple) and the Pavlova. Both were great, but the Pavlova was really amazing. This is a great restaurant that I'll return to every time I'm in Paris.More

A great little restaurant. Fresh ingredients and perfectly prepared. Had the pea raviolis which were delightful. The Burrata was creamy and fresh with fresh tomatoes. The beef cheek for the main course was so soft it cut with a fork. Excellent. Also had the fish...with couscous which was pricey but also fantastic. Perfect portions. Had the exotic fruit tartare which was very good. The Pavlova was too sweet for us but also very good. Would highly recommend for a dinner for 2-6 people in Paris. A short walk from the Metro St Paul station. Service was friendly and prompt.More

I had dined at Pamela Popo in 2017 and enjoyed the experience, and had dinner there again in December 2019. Was dining solo again and the food was excellent and the service attentive, all making a very enjoyable evening. Can recommend the cocktails and the...crab starter. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant.More

Absolutely delicious meal, fantastic service and wonderful experience. We went with our two daughters. We ordered a selection of delicious starters. Our daughter described the fillet of beef main course as ‘the best food ever’ and I have to agree it was fabulous. We loved...our meal and can’t fault anything.More

The meal was wonderful. The meat was so tender…would go back just for that. The staff were pleasant…were able to accommodate us even though we had mucked up our reservation (beware the 24hour clock when you’re jet lagged!). Would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

We were seated at 9:00. We left at 10:30 when our food STILL had not arrived. We were offered no explanation as to why the food had STILL not arrived as we left. we feel we were treated poorly as my date was the only...dark skinned person in the room. In the city with 1 million incredible restaurants that should be your last choice after McDonald’s.More

A friend recommended this restaurant to us, and I am glad he did. When you walk in and go to the first room sitting dining room you have the feeling to be in someone’s home. Warm, funky wall paper, interesting furniture and nice music. The...food is very good and interesting. On this occasion I found the starters and the desserts more interesting than the main courses, but no complaints.More
