Fargo Force forward Mac Swanson has been named USHL Forward of the Year for the 2023–24 season. The North Dakota commit becomes the first Fargo player to win the award.

After recording 12 goals and 55 points as a rookie last season, Swanson built off those numbers and showed more of a scoring touch in his second year. The Anchorage native finished with 26 goals and 51 assists in 55 games during the 2023–24 season, making his 77 points the third-most in the USHL.

Swanson tallied two multi-goal games, including a hat trick against Sioux Falls in February. Added, he had 15 multi-assist and 23 multi-point games.

The 18-year-old opened the season with points in 13 of his first 15 games, recording six goals and 13 assists during that stretch. Swanson finished with eight goals and 29 points in the first half of the season.

He caught fire in the second half, tallying 18 goals and 48 points in 31 games, including a seven-point performance against Sioux Falls in early March. For his efforts, Swanson was named USHL Forward of the Week twice during the season.

Fargo took a clean sweep of the USHL awards on Thursday, and their historic season will likely see the organization grab a couple more.
