TOOMS COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV)- After last week’s devastating tornado in Toombs County, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, civic organizations, local businesses, and churches in the area are coming together to support the community in its time of need.

These groups have organized a community-wide effort to help clear debris and provide assistance.

Crews and individuals interested will meet on Saturday, May 18, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, starting at 8 a.m.

The plan is to divide up to complete as many of the 40+ projects as possible.
