Netizens can't help but gush over Song Hye Kyo's beauty, with fans lauding her unmatched charm.

Interestingly, as she graced the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar Korea, Song Hye Kyo gets honest as she recalls the aftermath of "The Glory" craze.

Reaching another K-drama heyday, Song Hye Kyo took the world by storm after portraying the revenge-driven character Moon Dong Eun in the Netflix series "The Glory."

The actress broke away from her usual romance and rom-com genres by headlining her first-ever revenge series.

Moon Dong Eun is the main protagonist in "The Glory," who works as a teacher for inmates.

During her high school years, she was victimized by school bullies. Moon Dong Eun was assaulted, mocked, and even burned by the perpetrators, who are also her classmates.

After choosing to drop out of school, she spent years preparing for her revenge.

Why Song Hye Kyo Couldn't Let Go of Her 'The Glory' Character Easily

Song Hye Kyo told Harper's Bazaar Korea that she got attached to her role as Moon Dong Eun.

Since she had no time for herself due to the tight schedule of filming, she lived as her "The Glory" character for 7 months, the duration of the filming.

"I lived entirely as Moon Dong-eun from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep every day."

According to the actress, she had a hard time letting go of the character.

"When the project ended and I was no longer Dong Eun, the emptiness I felt was immense. It was a highly emotional drama with a character who experienced a lot of human pain, which made it even harder."

Since it's been almost a year after the finale, Song Hye Kyo "has now fully let go of Dong Eun," but she admitted that it took quite a while.

Song Hye Kyo's portrayal of Moon Dong Eun was breathtaking, and viewers got to see what an amazing actress she is.

Interestingly, the character won Best Actress recognition at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2023.

A spin-off to the blockbuster movie "The Priests," which stars Kang Dong Won in 2025, Song Hye Kyo headlines "Dark Nuns" with Jeon Yeo Been.

Helmed by "Count" director Kwon Hyeok Jae, the upcoming movie focuses on the nuns who perform exorcisms.

As Song Hye Kyo's interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea continues, the actress mentions that she "was able to start a new project" after fully letting go of Moon Dong Eun.

What made her accept the role is that the movie is a "women's film" since it stars two female characters.

Besides "Dark Nuns" being her comeback movie after 8 years, what made her even more excited is the CGI that will be added in the post-production.

"It's challenging but equally fun," she said, adding, "This is also a new type of acting for me. New expressions are coming out, and it's fascinating how they differ from those of Dong Eun."

Joining Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Been are Lee Jin Wook, veteran actor Heo Joon Ho, and child star Moon Woo Jin.
