Description

1.21.0 is the seventy-fourth update to be released in Tower Defense Simulator, on the 10th of May 2024.

This update was also given the name Consumables Update, as this update added Consumables.

This update encompassed eleven updates, the main v1.21.0 update (released 10 May 2024) and ten minor updates, v1.21.1 (10 May 2024), v1.21.2 (11 May 2024), v1.21.3 (11 May 2024), v1.21.4 (11 May 2024), v1.21.5 (11 May 2024), v1.21.6 (14 May 2024), v1.21.7 (14 May 2024), v1.21.8 (14 May 2024), v1.21.9 (16 May 2024) and v1.21.9a (16 May 2024).

Changes & Bugfixes

  • Updated tower hotbar UI during matches.
    • Cash (Gameplay Currency)Cash counter now quickly goes up when cash is gained or lost instead of going up instantly.
    • Tower icons leave a shadow behind them.
    • Empty slots now have different appearance.
    • Added Consumables swap button to the left.
    • Added Time Scale button to the left.
    • Updated tower stat appearance upon hover.
    • Slots now enlarge upon hover.
  • Boss enemies now are immune to Nuke's fallout damage.
  • Updated the Cowboy's inventory description.
  • Field Medic's shield no longer deals damage to enemies equal to the unit's max health upon collision and does not protect it from damage when colliding with enemies, now it only protects units from enemy abilities.
  • Improved UI animations.
  • Improved game optimization.
  • Weekly quests now can give Low Grade Consumable Crates, Mid Grade Consumable Crates and High Grade Consumable Crates.
  • Chance to get something from a crate now includes decimals, up to two decimal places.
  • Changed Crook Boss's goons names.
    • Pistol Goon renamed from Goon1 to Pistol Goon.
    • Tommy Goon renamed from Goon2 to Tommy Goon.
      • Due to a bug, its referenced as Pistol Goon in game.
    • Body Guard renamed from Goon3 to Body Guard.
  • Updated War Machine sound effects.
  • Boss health bars no longer display decimal health.
  • Fixed icons covering up chance to unlock the item from a crate.

  • The Time Scale button now appears even without the player having Time Scale Ticket Time Scale Tickets.

  • Fixed lead penetration not working for multiple towers.
  • Fixed Void Reaver not appearing on the final wave of Hardcore.
  • Fixed Molotov not playing sounds when equipped.
In v1.21.6
  • Tower pets are now displayed for all players.
    • One for normal players.
    • Three for VIP players.
    • VIP+ player still display their full loadout.
  • Updated VIP+ Boost description.
  • Fixed Pursuit not stopping moving while attacking enemies.
  • Fixed the total damage statistic and damage quests not tracking for multiple towers.
  • Fixed VIP+ boosted crate odds not working.
  • Fixed the XR500 Turret skin animations and sounds.
  • Fixed being able to use consumables in the Tutorial.
  • Fixed new players not having the fifth slot unlocked in the Tutorial.
In v1.21.7:
  • Fixed culling sorting in the incorrect order.
In v1.21.8:
  • Version number changed from v1.21.7 to v1.21.8.
In v1.21.9:
  • Commander's all skins except Bloxy, Phantom and Eclipse Level 0-4 appearance changed.
  • Updated Commander's regular voice lines.
  • Added new voice lines for the Neko and Ghost skins.
  • Commander reworked.
    • Placement limit of 3 Commanders per player added.
    • Commander now attacks enemies when any ability is activated, not just the Call to Arms ability.
      • Attack time stacks if multiple ability are used in a short period of time.
    • New Call to Arms ability effects.
    • Statistical changes:
      • Base
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$650 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$850.
        • Range decreased from 12 to 9.
        • Damage decreased from 4 to 0.
        • Firerate decreased from 0.508 to 0.
        • Hidden detection added.
        • Flying detection added.
        • Firerate buff increased from 10% to 12.5%.
      • Level 1
        • Cost decreased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$850 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$300.
        • Range decreased from +2 to +0.
        • Firerate buff changed from 10% > 15% to 12.5% > 15%.
      • Level 2
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$1,800 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$2,500.
        • Lead penetration added.
        • Range increased from +0 to +2.
        • Damage increased from +0 to +10.
        • Firerate changed from 0.508 to 0 > 0.608.
        • Call to Arms' ability buff reduced from 30% to 15%.
      • Level 3
        • Range decreased from +2 to +1.5.
        • Damage increased from +2 to +5.
        • Firerate buff decreased from 10% > 20% to 12.5% > 17.5%.
        • Call to Arms' ability buff changed from 30% to 15% > 22.5%.
      • Level 4
        • Cost increased from Cash (Gameplay Currency)$9,000 to Cash (Gameplay Currency)$15,000.
        • Range decreased from +4 to +1.5.
        • Damage increased from +4 to +10.
        • Firerate buff decreased from 20% > 25% to 17.5% > 20%.
        • Call to Arms' ability buff changed from 30% to 22.5% > 30%.
        • Support Caravan ability added.
        • Name changed from World Leader to Strenght in Numbers.
  • Updated Commander narrator's animated appearance.
  • Fixed firerate, range and damage buff indicators being sunken into the gronud.
  • Fixed Lifeguard skin chair being buried in the ground.
In v1.21.9a:
  • Fixed Eggrypted, Umbra and Phantom not having models.
  • Fixed Eggrypted, Umbra and Phantom not being placeable.
  • Fixed Holiday skin using incorrect animations.
