My account displays ChatGPT 4o as an option in my iOS app and the browser, however when I select it and attempt to use the Voice feature, it just uses the standard ChatGPT 4 voice mode, and when I text with it, it behaves the same as ChatGPT 4. I am sure these bugs will be worked out. However, it is annoying to have it showing that I have access to the feature but then not be able to use it…

Same thing for me,
From Italy, iPhone 11 with iOS 17. No updates have yet been released on the app store and the model does not work as per specification, identical to the issues mentioned above.

Same issue, it just uses regular gpt4. I even asked gpt-4o how I could speak to it and it said it wasn’t available on ios but I could chat with it online but the browser version doesn’t show the option.

android app user here and though I can select “ChatGPT-4o”, it’s not behaving any differently to ChatGPT-4. it takes the same multiple seconds to respond, I can’t interrupt it by speaking to it, and it doesn’t change its speaking style (eg whisper or speak dramatically or sing like in the OpenAI announcement video) when I ask it to.

At official website it is statet that it comes a bit later as alpha version for paid users and will include both of this features

Same issue in Switzerland, iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17.4.1.
Im a Plus user and can select GPT 4o in the app but everything remains the same as GPT4. When I press on headphones, it’s the same conversation as before with stop and talk, no live conversation, no emotions, no flow. The animation is also old. And no way to select live video camera to show something to GPT 4o

I am a plus user and I am having the same issue. I have tried deleting the app and reloading onto my iPhone, updated my iOS, logged out and back in, stood on one foot and hopped…nothing seems to be working. I have the ChatGPT 4o selected on my phone, but it just defaults to GPT4.

I have the voice interface icon on my iPhone, however after I input a question, I get a voice response saying “Our systems are experiencing heavy load, please try again later.” My bubble is a large white circle, not what was shown in the demo yesterday, I cannot interrupt it as they did, I have to physically touch the screen.

Yes I am experiencing the same issue as a paid user. Voice chat worked last night but I now recieve the “our systems are experiencing heavy load. Please try again later”. I will try again later today.

I select the new model, tap headphone icon, speak, wait, response is always the same stating their systems can’t process my input right now due to being too busy. Sucks, for paying customers such as myself. Make a product ready before selling it, used to be standard. Nowadays, sadly it is more standard to talk a good game and then sell sub standard products coupled with a free “wish and prayer” promise.

UK user here, paid, Android App. GPT-4o voice prompt displays “network error” after attempting to transcode voice input (mic icon). New speech interface (headphone icon) returns “Sorry I am having issues right now, our system are experiencing heavy load, please try again later”.
Suspect either the servers have turned into molten lava or its become sentient and is currently taking over the world.
