BIT KAYLA. ALL RIGHT. WE’LL CHECK BACK IN WITH YOU THEN A FEW CENTRAL IOWA TEENAGERS ARE HELPING MAKE SURE THE FAMILY OF AMIR JOSEPH IS TAKEN CARE OF. JOSEPH WAS THE SIXTH GRADER WHO WAS SHOT AND KILLED DURING THE PERRY SCHOOL SHOOTING BACK IN JANUARY. THE DALLAS CENTER-GRIMES NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY HOSTED THEIR CAR WASH FOR A CAUSE EVENT TODAY IN FRONT OF THE OLD GRIES LIBRARY. EACH CAR WASH COST $10, WITH ALL OF THE PROCEEDS GOING DIRECTLY TO JOSEPH’S FAMILY. ORGANIZERS SAY THEY ARE HAPPY THEY COULD HELP THE FAMILY. IT’S IT’S BEEN AWESOME. IT’S REALLY COOL TO SEE THE COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER TO HELP PERRY AND TO HELP SCHOOL. THAT OBVIOUSLY HAD A HUGE TRAGEDY IN ANY WAY WE COULD HELP. WE WANTED TO. SO YEAH, IT’S BEEN AMAZING TO SEE PEOPLE COME TOGETHER AND HELP THIS WORK OUT FOR US. I THINK WE HAD A LOT OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND FOR US THAT MEANT A LOT. YEAH,

A few central Iowa teenagers are helping make sure the family of a student killed during the Perry school shooting is taken care of.
