Because of their results for a good stretch of 20 plus years, the Cleveland Browns have had to allow many comments of disrespect and embarrassment. One of the most traditional and historic franchises in the history of the NFL, seemed to have turned the tables as of late. Therefore, it is time to change their narrative.

Since head coach Kevin Stefanski began his run with the team, the Browns have made the playoffs in the 2020 and 2023 seasons, winning 11 games in each of those years and having a playoff win. They have a 37-30 record under their current head coach.

With all that said, the fact that the Brows are legitimate contenders every year, does not seemed to impress one NFL player. Dallas Cowboys linebacker, Micah Parsons, has recently said that Cleveland is still what many believed it was a few years ago, a city with a team that does not know how to win.

This time, there is a strong voice to defend the city and the team, as Browns tight end David Njoku has been very vocal about this matter.

"I feel like Cleveland raised me from a boy to a man," Njoku said during a media session on Wednesday. "Becoming a man in this city, it means more than what most may think. So with Parsons and the other idiot - just talking down on Cleveland is just something I won't accept, no matter what. No matter what happens, I will never accept it. So just, with that being said, respect the city, bro. It's very simple."

What did Micah Parsons say?

After all this, David Njoku was alluding to a comment the Cowboys player made during the of a Madden 24 Challenge that was part of this years Pro Bowl in February.

Parsons and Njoku met in the video game and after the Dallas star led at halftime, he went on to say that Njokus first-half deficiency displayed why "Cleveland is Cleveland," which was a clear shot at the city and its sports teams, especially the Browns.

Njoku stepped up to defend the city. "He said Cleveland is Cleveland, but we're both here," Njoku responded, pointing out that neither player were preparing to play in the Super Bowl. "We're both playing this Madden game. So what are you saying of Cleveland is Cleveland? Dallas is Dallas?"
