Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool ‘done deal’ amid Mohammed Kudus pursuit

Arne Slot’s impending arrival at Liverpool Football Club is understood to be a ‘done deal’.

Fabrizio Romano shared the claim in question on his daily briefing with CaughtOffside, with the Reds and Feyenoord still yet to finalise compensation.

The timing of an official announcement on the matter remains to be seen ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s penultimate game in charge of the Merseysiders against Aston Villa.

Liverpool are now said to be prepared to trigger Mohammed Kudus’ €98.85m (£85m) release clause this summer. This, however, seems an unlikely eventuality given the clause in question allegedly doesn’t activate until 2025.

The West Ham winger remains on a long-term contract with the Hammers (set to expire in 2028), though could form part of a potential exodus at the London club ahead of David Moyes’ expected departure.

Sources close to the club have suggested the recruitment team would be keen to bolster options in the forward line.

The Ghanaian has amassed seven goals and six assists in 32 Premier League games in 2023/24.

  1. We should tell Liverpool fc to jog on kudus is one of our top players if we are to go to the next level we need to keep our best players and add more quality players to the squad not letting them leave because a so called top club wants them

  2. What utter rubbish kudus not worth £85 M , at the best £45M . He’s been so poor for WHU this season poor touch cost possession bang average player.

    1. Unserious person I’ve ever seen….do you know football at all or you just saying some cuz everyone is saying something

    2. Who is this person? What does he know about football? Well your opinion carries no weight? The people whose opinion matter are ready to pay..who cares about your ignorant opinion

  3. Mo. Kuku is definitely a fine option to replace legendary Mo. Salah because he’s also typical left footed who operates at right wing and has been good this season in a poor Westham team…The release clause is somehow high though.

  4. Fabrizio Romano is full of crap and so is Caughtoffside.com and so is this site who also make up rumours that are nothing but lies. Are main priority isn’t a winger unless Salah is leaving so we wouldn’t be talking about signing one right now.

  5. I think kudus would be performing better at liverpool than in the current club (WHU)!
