Reed Sheppard, who is projected as a Top-5 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has been impressing scouts lately at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. Also there is Kentucky's Rob Dillingham, who is also projected to go Top-5 in the draft.

Sheppard has really been showcasing his skills at the Combine. Not so surprisingly, Sheppard has been scorching the net, and scouts are oozing over his ability to shoot the basketball at an extremely efficient clip. Safe to say he is backing up his stock as a projected Top-5 overall pick.

Not only was his shooting on point, but his vertical was highly talked about among scouts on Monday. Sheppard posted an impressive 42-inch vertical, which ranked as the best vertical jump among the participants in the entire NBA Draft Combine. Behind him in the vertical jump rankings are Adem Bona at 40.0 inches, and Dalton Knecht at 39.0. We knew all about the shooting, but who knew Sheppard had that kind of leaping ability in him.

Looking at different mock drafts, ESPN has Sheppard as the No. 3 overall pick, as well as Bleacher Report, while CBS has him outside of the Top-5 at No. 7 overall in the draft. It looks like both Sheppard and Dillingham should be picked in the Top-5 nonetheless. Kentucky hasn't had two picks in the Top-5 since 2012, when Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist went No. 1 and No. 2 respectively. History can repeat itself on June 26th in Brooklyn on draft night.
