10 More Sequels That Totally Ruined The Previous Movie's Ending

Miss Congeniality from 2000 is all about Gracie Hart, an extremely un-ladylike FBI agent played by Sandra Bullock.

Poor Sandra doesn't have much luck with sequels, does she?

After going undercover at the Miss America beauty pageant, she learns to embrace her feminine side, enjoy the best of both worlds, and even falls in love. It might not have aged particularly well, but it was a harmless romp at the time.

Five years later, Gracie’s story was picked up in the sequel, subtitled "Armed and Fabulous". So, how has life been for her since she made her big revelation and landed the man of her dreams? Awful, that’s how. 

After her cover is blown on an undercover mission, Gracie is forced out of active fieldwork. Furthermore, her boyfriend Eric - who she got together with at the end of the last film - dumps her off-screen! 

All of the life lessons that Gracie learned in the first picture are completely nullified within the opening few minutes of Miss Congeniality 2. She’s lost so many things that she really cared about and, worst of all, she doesn’t even seem to care that much. 

So much for the power of pageantry.
