Seth Meyers has extended his deal with NBCUniversal, which will now see him hosting Late Night through 2028, the company announced Monday.

Meyers recently celebrated his 10-year anniversary as host of Late Night With Seth Meyers. The late-night show, which has 11 total Emmy Award nominations under its belt, launched on Feb. 24, 2014.

“Over the last 10 years, Seth has resonated with his audience night after night with a sharp monologue and established segments such as ‘A Closer Look’ and ‘Day Drinking,'” executive vice president, Late Night Programming, NBCUniversal Entertainment Katie Hockmeyer said in a statement. “We’re so happy to continue this legacy franchise with Seth at the helm and watch him continue to elevate the success of Late Night.”

Meyers’ Sethmaker Shoemeyers production company has also extended its deal with Universal Studio Group and will continue to create and develop scripted and unscripted programming across NBCUniversal’s platforms.

Meyers’ big Late Night news comes at a time when he and fellow SNL alum Tina Fey have been name-dropped as potential replacements for Lorne Michaels on the veteran sketch comedy. The SNL boss has stated his intention of overseeing the show through its 50th anniversary special in February, but beyond that, it’s unclear how long Michaels will remain with the series.
