Marvin Wayne Parrott, age 81, of Salem, was born January 23, 1943, to Oscar and Jewell Hattabaugh Parrott and passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his home.

Marvin was a lifetime farmer and an employee of the old Smith Cabinet Company. He loved watching NASCAR.  He married Janie Sease on June 28, 1963, and they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Marvin is survived by his wife:  Janie Parrott of Salem, two daughters:   Karen Borden (Larry) of Salem and Melinda Parrott of Salem, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, a sister:  Bonnie Shell (Robert) of Salem, and a brother:  Richard Parrott (Darlene) of Mesa, Arizona. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service.
