Ronald C. Goudreau OBITUARY

Ronald C. Goudreau Passed away peacefully in Sonoma on January 23rd, 2007, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born in Chicago, IL, to Eugene and Opal Goudreau, on November 20th, 1929. He had lived in Sonoma, CA for the past six years, and had worked at Viansa Winery as a Wine Educator. He was close to Infineon Raceway, where he spent much of his spare time, hanging out and talking about cars and his earlier auto racing career. He died several days after seeing his lifelong favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears, win the NFC championship and head for Super Bowl XVI. Sunday, he told his family he was going to the Super Bowl, unfortunately he was unable to make it. He was sharp as a tack until the very end. He is survived by five children and twelve grandchildren: Debbie (Jim) McCray of Novato CA, grandchildren Christopher and Meagan; Gaylene Goudreau of San Diego CA, grandchildren Rajani, David, Trevor, and Chelsea; Michael (Amy) Goudreau of Racine WI, grandchildren Mychael, Myles, and Mason; Julie Dunbar of Miami FL, grandchildren Alexandria, Alexis, and Alexander; and Jill Goudreau, Miami. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, at 1:30 p.m. in Sonoma at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, at 525 West Napa Street.
