Richard Norman Miller OBITUARY

Richard Norman Miller, 68, of Royersford, husband of the late Edna Joy (Haas) Miller, passed away Wednesday August 20, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Norman T. and Kathryn (Hunsberger) Miller.

Richard graduated from Spring-Ford High School in 1964, and later from Williamson Trade School in 1967.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967-1970.

Richard worked for the Commonwealth of PA Department of Welfare in the Maintenance Department at Pennhurst State School & Hospital from 1972-1984, Wernersville State Hospital from 1984-2005, and part time with Harry Bean HRB Corp. at Accelent Corp., formerly Uniform Tubes, in Trappe.

He was a member of VFW Post 6341 in Royersford, Limerick Twp. Historical Society, St. James U.C.C. in Limerick, and Williamson School Alumni Association.

Surviving is his son, Stephen R. Miller of Royersford; two sisters, Kathleen Litka of Pine Forge and Janet Potts of West Chester.

A funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, with Rev. John Steitz officiating. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick.
