During my freshman year of college I was a psychology major. I found it very interesting to see the level of crazy that existed in the world and try to help some people along the way. It was not meant to be, however. I could not keep up with all the reading because my eyes are weak. The headaches were unbearable.

So I switched over to journalism and rather than learning about the different levels of crazy, I would write about the different levels of crazy. The fact that I did not get my major in psychology has not stopped me from diagnosing people as being nuts. If anything, I am working on my advanced degree of crazy right now as I look at the house featured in this week’s column.

That is right baby, bring me that honorary doctorate because the owners of this house are, I believe the official term is, bongo bananas.

It has been said by me that I would have made a wonderful psychologist. The support I would have offered my patients would have been unparalleled.  I digress.

This three-bedroom, two-bath home is located at 416 William Street,Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The home is 2,500 square feet and has all the razzle-dazzle you would never expect to find in Pittsburgh.

And yeah, by razzle dazzle I mean a lot of animal prints and velvet.

Oh, why yes, allow me to sit in my zebra chair as I stare at my zebra painting that is hanging on my cheetah print-covered wall. Crazy man, crazy. Who would make these style choices?

Question answered. Moving on …

Wowsers, that is a lot of crap in a kitchen. I want to know where the real kitchen is, you know, the one where you actually cook.

There are so many animal print rugs in this house.

There is no way I could sleep in either of these rooms. I would always have one eye open waiting for the dude in camouflage to step out from the wall. It just might be the strong desire for color but I do love that blue chandelier.

You should know me well enough by now that if there is a painting where someone has what looks to be lighted seashells on their butt I am going to make a point of making sure you see that painting. You are welcome.

Last but not least, the office.

This is where the train to Crazy Town ends. It is all just so incredibly much. My poor, old weak eyes have seen enough to know they have seen too much.
