Everton Announce Summer Departures And Dele Alli's Stay

Everton have confirmed that four players will leave the club this summer, while Dele Alli will stay despite his contract expiring. The midfielder, 28, has been out all season due to injury and will remain at Everton to continue his rehabilitation for a groin problem. Director of Football Kevin Thelwell stated, “Dele’s contract is coming to an end, but our medical team will continue to support him while he completes the intensive rehabilitation program.”

Andre Gomes and Andy Lonergan are set to depart when their contracts expire. Gomes, 30, joined from Barcelona in 2018 and scored four goals in 144 outings. Lonergan, 40, joined from West Brom two years ago but didn’t make a single appearance. Thelwell expressed gratitude, saying, “Everyone at the Club thanks Andre and Andy for their service and contribution to Everton.”

Loanees Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison will return to their parent clubs. Everton will discuss Harrison’s future with Leeds once their play-off journey concludes. Meanwhile, veteran stars Idrissa Gueye, Seamus Coleman, and Ashley Young have all been offered one-year extensions after their crucial roles in Everton’s season.
