Johnson Highlights Six Saints on All-Conference

LANCASTER, Pa.Kaylynn Johnson earned her second straight Player of the Year award as six Saints were named All-Conference by the Atlantic East on Tuesday.
 
Johnson also was named First Team All-Conference for the second year in a row. In 2024, she finished with a slash line of .379 AVG / .423 OBP / .720 SLG. She also led the conference with 10 home runs and 45 runs batted in. Her RBI total broke her own school records set the previous two seasons. She also finished the season with a new program record 13 doubles, as well.
 
Jaclyn Burch finished as an All-Conference selection for the fourth time in her career as she was named to the First Team in 2024. In a breakout senior season, she finished with a .349 batting average while slugging 12 doubles and 25 runs batted in. Behind the dish, she only had three errors and finished with a .982 fielding percentage. Jaclyn had previously been named First Team All-Conference at Wesley in 2021.
 
Shanyn Burch rounded out Marymount's First Team performers, earning the recognition as a pitcher for the second year in a row. Shanyn finished with a career-low ERA of 2.53 while holding an impressive 14-4 record in the circle. As a hitter, Burch clubbed eight home runs while holding a .287 batting average.
 
Kaylee Atkins, Jenna Jew, and Ashleigh Mannion all received Second Team All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers.
 
Atkins batted .301 with six home runs and 28 runs batted in this season while holding an impressive .990 fielding percentage at first base. Jew, who played at both shortstop and center field this season, batted .318 in her first season with the Saints while adding 10 stolen bases. Mannion finished her first season of college softball with a .277 average and slugged five doubles and two triples. She finished with eight stolen bases.
 
As a team, Marymount finished as the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic East Tournament for the second year in a row. The Saints went 2-2 in pod action, pushing Marywood to a final, winner-take-all game before being eliminated.
