Exploring the Greenetech Genetics Building in Fallout 4: A Guide to Completing the Quest “The Prey and the Hunter”

Before “The Prey and the Hunter”, take a look at the side quest “The Vision”

If you don't want any spoilers on a Fallout 4 quest, apart from “The Prey and the Hunter”, we advise you to go directly to the next part of this article. Indeed, it may be interesting to talk about another quest before this one, “The Vision”.

Once you have done so, you will have important information from the latter, notably on a synthetic Z2-47. At the moment, this doesn't mean much to you, but we will return to this subject a little later in this guide.

Now that this first point is clarified, let's look at the quest “The Prey and the Hunter”. The first step will be to go to the CIT. For that, head due north from Diamond City to get to the point indicated on the map below.

Take out your Pip-Boy and then follow the strength of the hunter's frequency. You will then come across a building, that of Greenetech Genetics. Enter the building, go north and go up the stairs until you come across the first enemies of the place.

Then progress through the corridors and stairs of Greenetech Genetics, until you arrive at the top. If turrets might complicate your life, be aware that it is possible to hack terminals that you come across so that they leave you alone.

When you get to the top, kill the enemies, go around the lasers and you will arrive in a new room. A new fight awaits you there and once free of these enemies, you will have to take the elevator. This is where you will encounter the synthetic Z2-47.

The famous one that we told you about in the first part of the article. Please note that if you have done this side quest, you can simply deactivate it. If this is not the case, after the discussion, you will have to start the fight and kill him. Once the synthetic's case is taken care of, one way or another, search his corpse and go to the Rail Network to analyze his chip.
