The Queen’s Head, a historic pub located on Pinner High Street in Harrow, has achieved national recognition by winning both the Pub Team of the Year and Sustainable Pub of the Year at the prestigious Night of Excellence Awards.
Under the leadership of Sean White, who has been the landlord at the Pinner pub for five years, the Queen’s Head has demonstrated exceptional commitment to both its team and the environment.
The pub was awarded the Pub Team of the Year for its staff training programs and investment in employee development. Staff members benefit from regular training sessions provided by Greene King’s Learning & Development Team and have opportunities to engage in apprenticeship schemes, including degree apprenticeships.
The Queen’s Head also secured the Sustainable Pub of the Year, a new category introduced to highlight the importance of environmental responsibility in the pub industry.
The pub has implemented several eco-friendly practices, such as installing electric car charging stations, creating a dedicated cycle park, and upgrading to energy-efficient LED lighting equipped with timers and sensors, significantly reducing its environmental impact.
The Night of Excellence Awards, organised by Greene King Pub Partners, held its ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford-Upon-Avon, drawing over 140 licensees and numerous stakeholders from the hospitality sector.
