If you were, say, 25 in 1943 when most of the film is set then in 1988 when the end is set you would have been around 70. So she’s not there yet but she’s not far off!
I based it off the age of maybelle Blair, the person madonnas character was supposedly based on. She was born 1927 and the museum opened in 1988 so 61.
They make them all seem so old but even Dottie would’ve been only 63 when the museum opened.
Edit: old may was played by Eunice Anderson born 1922 and the movie was filmed in 1992 so she was about 70 in real life. All of the characters then are about 10 years older than the actual people would have been in real life.

Well, not trying to be rude, but Madonna has aged better than the actress who played older Mae. Of course, a lot of that probably has to do with modern plastic surgery, fillers, and botox. But 66-70 in 1993 looks a lot different than the same age today.
