The DAR is a lineage society, a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to service to our nation.

Membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) honors and preserves the legacy of Patriot ancestors. Over two hundred years ago, American Patriots fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. As a member of DAR, through participation in the Society's various programs and activities, you can continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.

Any woman is eligible for membership who is at least eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.

The DAR does not discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.

Through uncompromising diligence and unwavering resolve, the DAR celebrates the spirit of men and women who achieved our nation's independence. Any woman interested in joining this society may contact Regent Martha Ann Tanner at 912-682-3169.
