George's death has highlighted how great the writing has been on Young Sheldon. As a comedy, the prequel was able to deliver a gut-punch death without compromising its more lighthearted aspect. Hopefully, however, it is able to maintain that high level of storytelling quality as it wraps up with its final two episodes.
