Northern Lehigh School Board — personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters on Monday:

Salary adjustment

• Eric Hill, director of technology, salary increase in the amount of $2,000 for additional child accounting responsibilities, effective July 1.

Appointments

• Katie Cappuccino, chemistry teacher - secondary, $65,675, effective Aug. 20; Mikayla Vangelo, music teacher - secondary, $64,775, effective Aug. 20; Krista Petrulsky, districtwide Board Certified Behavior Analyst, $64,775, effective Aug. 20; Alexis Hollinger, special education paraprofessional, $16.39 an hour, effective May 7.

Transfer

• Autumn Fink, from Peters Elementary School instructional paraprofessional, to Peters Elementary School office assistant, $14.97 an hour, effective May 6.

Camps

Open Horizons/I.N.S.P.I.R.E. Summer Program Positions for the summer of 2024:

• Justin Fritz and MaryAnn Mattiola, instructors, up to $1,000; Brittany Tremper and Heidi Eckhart, paraprofessionals, up to $750.

• STEAM Camp, Ingrid Duran and Brittany Temper, paraprofessionals.

• Secondary Summer Band Camp: Tuition free secondary summer band program, and also a stipend for summer band program director Mikayla Vangelo, $1,000, to be paid out of grant for learning loss. The summer band program will tentatively run July 15-18.

• Extended School Year Program for students with special needs from July 8-25. The program will run weekly, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon. Further approve to employ the following individuals to the listed positions for the ESY program:

• Katelyn Terplan, Ryan Stilwell, Lynn Werley-Olesak, instructors, up to $1,000; Kim Depril, Ingrid Duran, Ryan Papay, Tara Hengst, Heather Kuntz, Jennifer Kuhns, Robin Blocker, and Andrea Maldonado, paraprofessionals, up to $750.

Volunteer

• Jennifer Haas, transportation paraprofessional for an unnamed student. The extended school year runs June 24-Aug. 2. The board approved five hours per day at Haas’ hourly rate plus $750.

Summer maintenance

• Brody Benson, Blake Everett, James Mann, Braden Marzen, and Christopher Taveras, summertime maintenance/custodial helpers at a rate of $12.50 an hour.

Vacant positions

• Superintendent to appoint quality personnel to vacant positions during the period of time from May 14 through the next regularly scheduled board meeting.
