Sevenoaks Town East to West Walking, Wheeling & Cycling Route

Overview

Sevenoaks District Council and Kent County Council are working together to deliver a new walking, wheeling and cycling route that connects the east and west of Sevenoaks town, allowing residents to travel by safe and sustainable means as an alternative to using their cars for short journeys.

The funding to deliver the route has already been secured, and we have been working on the design of the route, which has been influenced by the consultation undertaken in Summer 2023. This showed strong overall support for the route (61%), but raised some concerns with the Bradbourne Park Road and St James's Road sections. We have revised the design to overcome the issues raised through the consultation and are now asking for your views on the revised sections of the route, so that we can finalise it ready for construction later this year. The consultation will be open from 10 May 2024 for a period of three weeks. All comments must be submitted no later than 11:59pm on 03 June 2024.
